Their father, Wim Hof, has broken over 20 world records, changed the face of science regarding the autonomic nervous system and he has shown how we can all become ‘Happy, Healthy & Strong’ by using The Wim Hof Method.
Breathwork, cold exposure and mindset are the three pillars of WHM, which Laura & Isa will guide you through.

In November there will be twilight for a couple of hours only in the middle of the day. The extra hours of darkness significantly increases our chances of seeing the Northern Lights, which is exactly why we have chosen to host the retreat during this season.

Sommarøy Arctic Hotel Tromsø is a one hour (55 km) taxi from the airport. You pass fjords, mountain passes and small villages. This is a beautiful journey towards the most western village of Sommarøy.

Book by emailing: info@omandbass.co.uk

From your hotel window you will see how the magic of nature comes to life. Snow clad mountains drop dramatically in to the fjords, whilst the Aurora dance at night across the sky.

Sommarøy is just the right size for a leisurely two-hour walk around the island. It offers breathtaking views at every turn! Remember your camera. Here, at the edge of the world, you’ll discover a thriving, authentic fishing village – this is the real Arctic, not Disneyland.

Book by emailing: info@omandbass.co.uk

Sommarøy is remoteAF. There is only our hotel, a camping shop and a grocery store. Nature like you’ll never seen before. White Arctic snow clad beaches. Far away from the cities, with low light pollution. Perfect to watch the Northern lights in the sky. Fall in love again with Mother Nature.

The dark side is in our nature…..
While this is a quote from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, this also applies on Sommarøy, but with a slightly different meaning. From 22nd November to 18th January there is no sun at all. Polar nights is when the sun is below horizon throughout the day. This gives fantastic colours in the sky, sea and nature and is a photographers dream with twilight for hours.

What to bring:

  1. Yoga mat – if you don’t have one or don’t want to bring one, that’s fine. You can use a towel from the hotel. Rach always says that yoga mats were not used in the Himalayas 2,000 years ago and she thinks it’s hilarious that people try to ‘ground’ in a practice on a plastic mat #LOL. The floor of the practice space is carpeted and not hard under the knees.
  2. Suitable gloves, hat, boots & clothing to stay warm on icey beach walks. The sideways ice wind can be severe.
  3. Swimwear for the cold dips & hot tubs. A hat is good for this, too.
  4. Water bottle which can have hot or cold drinks.
  5. Camera, tripod, gimbal.
  6. Face covering: hikes or beach walks in extreme weather will require this.
  7. Book an extra cabin bag suitcase on your flight. Wizz air allows one tiny ruck sack for free. Please make sure your extra booked bag is small since we will try and group you with 3 other people to share taxis, making your transfers cost effective for you.
  8. Pen and note pad for writing workshops with Laura.
  9. Eye mask for evening relaxation if you feel like you’d like to relax deeply.
  10. It is essential that you have comprehensive travel insurance.
